Just 2.5 weeks until the Autumn Apple Drive of 2016! This year’s event differs to previous years, so if you think you’ve seen it all before – you haven’t!
This year we’ll be making chutney and pressing apples all morning, dishing up gorgeous hot chutney and juice for participants to take home and enjoy.
From 1pm onwards we’ll be running a series of workshops on local food-related topics (eg. sourdough breadmaking, pruning a fruit tree, making cider). At the same time, lots of stalls will be set up in the Food Fair, to showcase local producers of all kinds of things (eg. hot chocolate, beer, organic bread, herbal medicines etc…).
We suggest you bring in few dollars in cash in case you want to purchase any goodies from stall holders. The event is free, however a small koha would be appreciated to help us cover our costs. See you all there, morning, afternoon or all day. Bring some lunch, apples, energy and a sharp knife! See attached poster for schedule and other info.
Please support this local event!
