The Wanaka Farmers Market is predominantly local food, but does allow imported food from outside the region. Products range from home gardeners with surplus produce to larger commercial businesses, mostly Wanaka based, with a few vendors from Cromwell and surrounding areas. The market is based on regular vendors, but there are seasonal variations to the casual stalls so it’s worth checking back to see what is new, especially over the summer.
Cromwell Farmers Market within the Cromwell Heritage Precinct, where an excellent range of local and regional produce is available – direct from growers and producers – during our spring and summer growing season. Enjoy music and brunch foods and local, quality arts and crafts.
When: every Sunday 9am to 1pm. Labour Weekend until Easter.
All organic and wholefood retailers rely on imported produce (from elsewhere in NZ and overseas), but our local retailers also try and source locally produced food when they can. Please ask questions and offer encouragement. Buying local means more people will produce local food.
